FCA hires Vining as State Director for New Hampshire

ROCHESTER, NY – December 22, 2015 — The Fellowship of Christian Athletes announces the addition of Mike Vining to the team as state director for New Hampshire. Mike has 25 years of experience in sales and marketing, including as national director for a large food industry corporation, managing $10 billion in annual sales and maintaining merchant partnerships with 100+ companies. He has also coached youth sports for many years; most recently as the varsity softball coach at Portsmouth Christian Academy. Mike regularly leads men’s groups through his church in Dover, NH and has a passion for FCA’s mission. He is eager to bring his professional experience, energy, and, most importantly, his faith to the ministry.

Jason Allen will hand over the State Director duties after three and a half excellent years of service. Some of Allen’s many accomplishments during his tenure with FCA include recruiting Phil Tuttle, FCA’s Southern New Hampshire Area Representative, launching a 3-Dimensional Coaches Training Ministry and establishing 11 huddles across the state. He also helped grow the number of New Hampshire campers attending FCA camps by 200% from 2013 to 2015.

“The top highlights of my years with FCA have involved working with Phil Tuttle for the past two years, and seeing the growth of New Hampshire’s Leadership Board – and their involvement in the ministry. It has also been rewarding to see the establishment of a coaches’ ministry throughout the state and the development of a coaches’ network,” Allen said.

Sean McNamara, Vice President of Field Ministries for the Northeast Region, indicates that New Hampshire is in a great place: FCA gains the talents and experience of Mike Vining to build on the contributions of Jason Allen, as Allen transitions to a volunteer capacity, staying involved with coaches studies and “3D Coaching” seminars.

“We are very thankful for Jason’s dedication to the Lord and his service to FCA. God has used Jason and Phil in mighty ways. We look forward to seeing Mike continue to build on the momentum God has created during Jason’s time on staff, and watching Phil continue the work he has begun in Southern New Hampshire,” McNamara said.
