FCA Soccer Academy Mission Trip to El Salvador

During our April 2017 FCA Soccer Academy Missions Trip to El Salvador, we had the privilege of playing against the U17 Boys team from Santa Tecla FC. Our team of nine was comprised of many youth who are also involved with FCA on their high school campuses. We competed hard, but came up on the losing end of the match. After the game, we had an opportunity to sit down with the team and share the gospel with them. It was incredible to play against a team and directly after share our faith with them. Our FCA El Salvador teammate, David Cruz, was there with us as well as well as several of the team members’ parents.

FCA New Hampshire Weekly Soccer Program

Every Tuesday between 20-25 boys and girls from grades 1-4 train with us in Concord, NH. They are full of energy and always bring their personalities to the field, as pictured. Each session starts with our FCA Huddle time where there is a “word of the day,” such as integrity, serving, teamwork. At the end of each training session, we select a player of the day who receives an Orange Leaf (frozen yogurt) gift card. The sessions turn into every player trying to live out the word of the day through soccer in order to win the prize.

Since 1954, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes has been challenging coaches and athletes on the professional, college, high school, junior high and youth levels to use the powerful medium of athletics to impact the world for Jesus Christ. FCA focuses on serving local communities by equipping, empowering and encouraging people to make a difference for Christ – to see the world impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes.
