Kirstin Sandreuter has an excitement for serving her community and creating personal connections with coaches and athletes. As the FCA Area Representative of Cumberland County, Maine, she is looking forward to equipping more coaches with the message of Jesus Christ.
“I’m eager to help our coaches and athletes use their passion for athletics to glorify the Lord,” says Sandreuter. “Sports have a huge impact on our communities in Maine, and I’m looking forward to seeing God work through FCA’s ministry here in Cumberland County.”
Sandreuter is a Maine native and participated in cross-country and track throughout high school. She went on to attend Cornell University where she was introduced to FCA on her college campus. As a senior, Sandreuter served on the FCA Leadership Team for her huddle and helped with student outreach. She graduated with a degree in nutritional sciences and dietetics in 2018 and worked on nutrition programming in schools during a summer internship with Maine Medical Center.
Sandreuter currently lives in North Yarmouth where she works as a high school cross-country and track coach at Greely High School. She also volunteers with high school ministry and child care at White Pine Community Church. As a long-time resident of Maine, Sandreuter loves the outdoors and enjoys hiking in the summer and skiing in the wintertime.
Since 1954, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes has been challenging coaches and athletes on the professional, college, high school, junior high and youth levels to use the powerful medium of athletics to impact the world for Jesus Christ. FCA focuses on serving local communities by equipping, empowering and encouraging people to make a difference for Christ – to see the world impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes.
