Pano Anthos

Digital media executive and startup mentor Pano Anthos was first introduced to FCA in 2000 through FCA Lacrosse. After seeing the powerful effect the ministry had on his son Pax, who served with FCA as an intern, Anthos developed a love for the ministry and desire to participate in the mission to reach athletes and coaches for Christ.

“FCA blends the grace and holiness of Jesus Christ with the business efficiency of a great company to run a great non-profit that is having a huge impact in our country,” Anthos said. “Sports has become a god to most families, so when they see great athletes bow to the God, it’s inspiring.”

After graduating from the University of Delaware where he competed as a member of the tennis team, Anthos went on to a successful career in technology. Currently the chief product and technology officer at media industry powerhouse Alloy Digital, Anthos made a mark on the technology industry by co-founding Hangout Industries, which first brought video game technology and name brands to Facebook in 2007. Through Hangout, Anthos worked with brands such as Red Bull, Conde Nast, Steve Madden and the NBA and helped the company earn the 2008 MITX Digital Media award for “Best Use of Technology.”

Prior to his work with Hangout, Anthos also co-founded Pantero, now the semantic interface standard for the insurance and telecommunication industries, and Syntra/Clearcross, one of the first commercially available web services.

Anthos has three children—Daphne, Pax and Stefan—and resides in Wellesley, Massachusetts, where he attends Redeemer Community Church and enjoys biking and watching his sons play lacrosse.
