Over the years Tim Pearson had desired a way to blend his passion for sports with his faith, and is thankful for the opportunity FCA provides for him to do just that. “I am excited about the opportunity to share what Christ has done for me, and work with others who feel the same way. As the father of three children who attend public schools, my greatest interest is in supporting the huddles that provide a small doorway into otherwise walled darkened institutions of learning,” he said.
Pearson attended the University of Maine where he earned his BS and Masters of Education. He has taught Physical Education at Dedham School since 1992, and has served as a physical education teacher and coached a variety of sports for over three decades. Some of his teaching accomplishments include the Richard A. Bartlett Adapted PE Teacher of the Year 2008, Excellence in Coordinated School Health Award 2007, Maine K-8 PE Teacher of the Year 2000, and Outstanding Adapted PE Program Award 2000.
He is the Founder and Director of Hoops for HIM Basketball Camp and Co-Founder and Director of Orono Basketball School, and has enjoyed coaching at various Christian summer camps over the years.
Residents of Holden, Pearson and his wife Wendy are the proud parents of Seth, Courtney and Trevor. The family attends Grace Bible Church where Pearson serves as a deacon. Fishing, hiking and gardening are among his favorite hobbies, and he enjoys watching New England Sports Teams.
