Phil Tuttle

Area Representative, Southern New Hampshire

Prior to joining FCA, Phil Tuttle received a vision for his role in the ministry when he read Psalm 132:3-5: “I will not enter my house or get into my bed, I will not allow my eyes to sleep or my eyelids to slumber until I find a place for the Lord, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob.”

“The Lord gave me that Scripture,” said Tuttle, now the FCA Area Representative for Southern New Hampshire. “My prayer for New Hampshire is that FCA will be used as a platform to bring the presence of the Lord to every college, high school, and middle school in this state. I have a passion to see this state won for Christ.”

Tuttle knows about winning. As a soccer standout at Notre Dame, he helped lead his team to two regular season Big East Conference championships and three NCAA tournament appearances. After graduating from the University of Notre Dame with a business degree, he went on to play professional soccer and was drafted 33rd overall in the 2011 MLS Supplemental Draft by the San Jose Earthquakes. After a short stint with the Earthquakes, he signed with the USL’s Harrisburg City Islanders (PA) in April 2011. In 2012 he was invited to join the MLS’s New York Redbulls for the preseason, but was kept on the sideline after tearing his ACL. After recovering from the injury, Tuttle joined the Wilmington Hammerheads (NC) as the starting goalkeeper for 2013.

In 2012, Tuttle accepted an assistant coaching position with Southern New Hampshire University. In his two seasons with the Penmen, he has helped them achieve two conference tournament titles, one regular season conference title and the 2013 NCAA Division II National Championship. As a coach at SNHU, he helped establish an FCA Huddle on campus and hopes to facilitate more Huddle development in the state during his time with FCA.

Outside of FCA, Tuttle also serves as the director of operations for the FCA Soccer Academy and State Director for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. Now a resident of Concord, N.H., he enjoys spending time with his wife, Kaylin, and daughter, Kingsley.
