Zach Putman

Prospective Staff, Cortland County

Director of New York Motocross

Zach Putman has raced motocross successfully since he was three-years-old, and while his success at the sport could have led him to pursue it professionally, he chose to let God lead him differently.

“My heart is wholly devoted to Jesus and the constant move of His Kingdom. On top of my love for the Big Man Upstairs, I have a passion for fitness and athletics. When I got saved at 16, God put it on my heart to do ministry, but motocross never fizzled out of my life, and when I realized I could do motocross with FCA — God opened the door,” Putman said.

During his 16 years of racing motocross, Putman was the NY and PA State Champion in Motocross, Loretta Lynn’s 2012 19th Overall in the Supermini 2 Class, Loretta Lynn’s 2013 8th Overall – Open 2 Stroke. He was on the implementation team for FCA’s NY Moto Camps, where he also coached and served as a huddle leader during summer 2015 and 2016 camps.

In addition to a lifetime of motocross racing, Putman also played Pop Warner and modified football and wrestled during his junior and senior high years at Paul V. Moore High School where he graduated with honors and was a National Honor Society Member. He earned an AD in Business Administration from Onondaga Community College.

Putman was employed by Lasnicki Landscaping and Nursery, Vector Marketing, and Wegmans throughout high school. He currently works for Tops Markets.

A resident of Cortland, NY, Putman enjoys reading, hiking and spending time with his friends. He led Youth Ministry for five years at Believer’s Chapel Cicero Youth. Currently he is the Youth Pastor at Believer’s Chapel in Cortland.
